All the Best Data Belongs to Elon

As a Tech Bro, I know that IP is now old fashioned. Back in 1776, Adam Smith proved in Wealth of Nations that the mercantilist theory that owning all the gold mines is the best way to get rich was bunk. The real money was in leveraging the energy of your people.

But now, it's the data that matters.

Elon owns all the best data now.

First, he owns X, which is the best way to get information. All of the AIs are trained on X data, which they have to pay for... And Wikipedia, which sucks/lies, so now there's Grokipedia which doesn't suck.

Second, he owns Tesla, which has a fleet of millions of cars driving around with video cameras, that every day are training the self-driving car AI how to drive like a human. He's building robots that you don't program, you show them a video of a human doing a thing, and then they do that thing... This is also how humans learn mostly, by watching. So soon, Elon will have videos of humans doing all the things, which he can use to train the AIs...

Now he owns SpaceX, and from locating servers in data centers, I can tell you, you don't pay for bandwidth or space, you pay for electricity, because electricity is heat, and you have to do something with the heat. So Elon is right, if you put these super hot AI chips in space, heat is no problem, and neither is electricity. You can probably design super duper chips that will only work in the cold of space...
